What’s New for the 2023 Honda Pilot?
The Honda Pilot has been our manufacturing partner’s largest SUV platform for a while. For the 2023 model year, Honda has taken the opportunity to introduce a fourth generation of the Pilot, which comes with a rugged new aesthetic, better performance output and more interior space for passengers. Everyone at Grande Prairie Honda is very excited about the arrival of the 2023 Honda Pilot. 2023 Honda Pilot Performance Specs
One of the biggest changes our manufacturing partner made to the 2023 Honda Pilot is providing owners with more horsepower. The 2023 Pilot is still powered by a 3.5-litre V-6 engine, but it will make 285 (+5 hp from 2022 model) horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. All five trim grades (Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Black Edition) employ a 10-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, seven selectable driving modes are available on all trim grades.
Additional Interior Space
The Honda Pilot has never been accused of being anything less than passenger-friendly. For the current 2023 model year, Honda’s engineering team managed to stretch the Pilot just a bit further to make the interior even more comfortable.
Second-row passengers will have an additional 60 mm (2 inches) of legroom and people in the third row will have an additional 16 mm (.62 inches) of legroom. Speaking of the second row, engineers have also provided passengers with an extra 4 degrees of reclining angle. Also, accessing the third row is easier because the middle row can be folded forward farther.
More Seating Configurations
Flexibility is the name of the game for the 2023 Honda Pilot. Touring and Black Edition models are equipped with a first-in-class removable middle seat that can be stored under the rear cargo floor to provide more interior space for passengers to access the third row. Some other available seating options include:
- Traditional second-row bench seat
- Middle captain’s chairs
