Hybrid Performance & Capability
New for Canada is the CR-V Hybrid Touring, with a two-motor hybrid-electric system, alongside an upgraded 2.0L Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine and a pair of side-by-side motors. This system combines for a more responsive and sporty feel that you’ll experience from behind the wheel. Enjoy up to 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque thanks to the combined system output. Further performance features beyond the engine include an improved Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System to handle any environment Grande Prairie has to offer, while Hill Descent Control arrives for the first time ever in a CR-V, providing added control on inclines.
Exterior Design
The new 2023 CR-V balances a rugged yet sporty exterior appeal that takes inspiration from the new Ridgeline and Passport TrailSport models. An extended length and wheelbase provide the SUV with a more aggressive stance, while a change in the windshield pillars works to create a sportier look on the aesthetics side while improving the visibility for the driver (along with new door-mounted side mirror options). The front end on the CR-V is unmistakable, with its bold grille and standard LED headlights, with the LX and EX-L seeing a piano black mesh grille (with chrome trim) while the Sport and Touring models see an even bolder grille style with a gloss black accent. The rear of the 2023 CR-V is highlighted by a body-colour roof spoiler and updated vertical taillights, while the Sport and Touring trims feature a rectangular exhaust finisher and a lower bumper in Piano Black on the former and platinum on the latter trim. Interior Design
The 2023 CR-V continues the Honda push toward interiors that are even more sporty and modern-feeling for the new-age driver. This new style is highlighted on the instrument panel, which features a reduction in lines and remains seamless to cut down on distractions and make it easier than ever to engage with. Driver comfort has been made a focus as well, with new front body stabilizing seats, which lowers fatigue for long drivers. Rear comfort isn’t overlooked in the face of the front upgrades, with more rear-seat legroom of 15.2 mm has been added, along with eight angles of recline. Your gear and luggage are covered better than ever, too, as the 2023 CR-V will have the most cargo room in model history, with 1,028L available before the rear seats. Increase this number by lowering the rear load floor to reach 1,112.8L, or all the way up to 2,166.2L if you fold the rear seatbacks flat. Sleek and spacious, the 2023 CR-V interior is as modern as an interior gets.
Technology
A high-quality interior such as the CR-V’s deserves smart technology to match. New is a 7-inch touchscreen audio system, standard for the LX and Sport, which has been simplified with ergonomic knob controls for ease of use. Drivers who choose the EX-L or Touring trim levels will be met with a standard 9-inch touchscreen. For those looking for the height of audio inside the CR-V, the Touring features a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system that expertly complements the fresh interior. Regardless of where you sit inside, you’ll enjoy a top-tier listening experience.
